The paper presents data from the studies of animal bones from the Dnieper-Don Babino Culture (2200-1800 BC) grave, which were found during archaeologicalexcavations of a kurgan at the Marienfeld Burial Ground (Donetsk Region, Ukraine).Species attribution of the bone remains, their anatomic array by specific assemblagesas well as age and size characteristics of the animals selected for funeral rites have beenreviewed. The paper discusses distinctive features and similarities of animal bone assemblages in the graves from different burial grounds attributed to this culture
