In 2011 the Orenburg archaeological expedition of the Orenburg state pedagogical university under the leadership of N.L. Morgunova carried out excavation of the Bogolyubovsky barrow burial ground on the river Bolshoy Uran in the Novosergiyevsky district of the Orenburg region. The given publication is devoted to the burial of nomads of the IX-XI centuries investigated in the barrow of a bronze age (barrow №2) of the Bogolyubovsky barrow burial ground. Burial of the IX-XI centuries has analogies in the South Russian steppes and belongs to oguz tribes. The archaeologists revealed the distinctive features of an oguz ceremony of burial of women and children, social differences.
