New data on the archeology of the paleometal period on the coast of ussuri bay in primorye

The article presents the results of a field survey on the sites of the Early Iron Age (Paleometal period) in the coastal zone of the Ussuri Bay in Primorye, carried in 2016-2018. The new archaeological materials expand the range of sites dated back to the period when people started making use of metals in the south of the Russian Far East. The research clarifies some parameters of the previously studied archaeological cultures and allows exploring archaeological complexes that have not previously been encountered in the contexts of cultural sediments. Differences in the landscapes of the archaeological sites are essential while considering the issues of seasonal use of certain places in connection with the annual cycles of bioresources extraction.
