Stratigraphy and lithic artifact morphology of the Malta "pre-classic" cultural horizon: new data

The paper deals with a new complex of lithic artifacts from the Malta «pre-classic» cultural horizon recorded during thefield research in 2013-2018. The lithic industry includes original types of medium-size and small flake cores that have no parallels in the regional Paleolithic. The age of this complex has been determined as older than the classic Malta, which determination is confirmed by stratigraphic context, faunal remains and radiocarbon dates.
