The paper examines results of the settlement known as Dabilkurgan locatedin Southern Uzbekistan that constituted a part of Bactria in prehistory. Preliminary studiescarried out at the end of the 20th - early 21st centuries have demonstrated that the site hasa complicated stratigraphy and a long history (5th century BC - 19th century AD). Duringthe 2014-2015 excavations the authors of the paper prepared a detailed stratigraphy, identified layers of the 2nd - 9th centuries AD, and provided reliable dates within narrowchronological ranges.
