New materials of excavated late medieval burial ground on mountain Unyuk (right bank of the Yenisei river)

In 2015, continued field studies described earlier burial mound on the mountain Unyuk in the Krasnoturansk district of Krasnoyarsk region. The barrows are located on the hills of the ridge, stands two burial groups. In 2014, a wide excavation explored barrows No. 1 and 5 was proposed cultural and chronological interpretation of the material, that connecting with late medieval Yenisei Kyrgyz and their Kyshtym. Investigated in 2015 barrow 3 presented by the burial rite of cremation with lots of metal products in the grave goods. Most of them are small and fragmented parts of clothes, horse equipment, weapons. Highlights of the horse harness - belt pads, bits, having analogues in Middle Yenisei the burial objects belonging to the Mongolian time. Detected bits have large rings on terminals link, comparable in size to the bit. The noseband belt plate has “crescent prominent” form, which implies its use on a wide forehead strap. In general, support the broad archaeological items dating burial within the Mongolian time (XIII-XVI centuries). The findings correspond to the previously proposed typological schemes of certain categories of things and greatly supplement the corps of sources from closed complex. The investigated mounds show clear examples of material culture and burial later nomads Minusinsk depression. On the one hand, they reflect general trends in the design of the metal parts of weapons, horse equipment and clothing of the local population, organization and content of the burial objects. On the other hand, show local features and location of the burial sites of their structure, shape and design of things grave goods.
