Today, as a result of informatization and digitalization, the transformation of communication technologies, special attention should be paid to the consideration of all aspects of the life of the individual involved in these processes. The article examines the specifics of the impact of New media on the personality and on the emergence of a person's identity crisis, which is formed as a result of the loss of "ontological ground", immersion in the digital environment, transformation of value orientations associated with the distance of the individual from the social, departure from real life and immersion in the virtual world.
