New gravestones with epitaphs in commemoration of deceased foreigners in the 17th century in Moscovia

The paper provides a short review of gravestones with inscriptions made inOld German dating to the period of the Muscovite State (16th-17th centuries), which werefound over past 15 years. Information on two gravestones related to the Kellerman family(the family of translators, diplomats and merchants well known in Russia since the endof the 16th century) is presented. One of the epitaphs (1653) contains a poetic quote thatbelonged to Martin Hiller (1625), a preacher from Reichenbach, as well as other elementsindicating the Moscow Germans' interest towards Protestant theology
