New approaches to research of households: financial behavior

Nowadays a great deal of personal responsibility for making financial decisions is being promoted. Individuals and households are advised to take a more active approach to the issue of financial management. In this article we review new ideas to show the importance of behavioral factors that lead households to savings and financial planning. The active inclusion of Russian science in the new trajectory of household research will help identify key behavioral variables and explain why household members take on different financial responsibilities, and by what factors households differ in their financial behavior.
