New results of educational and scientific collaboration between the humanitarian department of Novosibirsk State University and the Center of studies of Northeastern Asia of University Tokhoku (Japan) in 2010

The article contains information about the scientific and educational exchange between the Oriental Department of the Humanitarian Faculty of Novosibirsk State University (Russia) and Tohoku University (Japan) in 2010. The exchange is performed within the five-year activity program of the joint laboratory for interdisciplinary studies. The discussions organized in the course of lectures on archaeology and ethnography provided new knowledge about the ethnic history of ancient inhabitants of the Asian continent and the Japanese archipelago in particular. The program implemented by the stuff of the Oriental Department and researchers of Tohoku University has improved the education level of specialists in Oriental ethnology and archaeology.
