New compounds in the system with silver molybdates, nickel, chromium

The phase formation in Ag 2MoO 4-NiMoO 4-Cr 2(MoO 4) 3 ternary salt system was studied by X-ray phase analysis in the subsolidus area. The formation of the new compounds of AgNi 3Cr(MoO 4) 5 and Ag 1-xNi 1-хCr 1+х(MoO 4) 3 was determined. The ternary molybdate AgNi 3Cr(MoO 4) 5 is thermally stable up to 880°С and crystallizes in triclinic system (sp. gr. P1ˉ., Z = 2). The variable-composition Ag 1-хNi 1-хCr 1+х(MoO 4) 3 phase is related to the NASICON (sp. gr. R 3ˉc, Z = 6).
