New manufacturing technologies of steel piston rings

The manufacturing technology of steel piston rings is developed by a method of cold plastic deformation at drawing. Modes of thermal processing are defined at recrystallizational temper, thermofixing and thermostabilization. Calculation of plastic deformation degree at drawing is executed. The substantiation of tool steels choice is spent. Ways of chemical-thermal processing of drawing rollers and steel piston rings are investigated. Industrial tests of rings have shown increase of operational firmness in 1,5-2,0 times in comparison with pig-iron rings.
