New technologies for the construction of bridges and tunnels

The article discusses innovative methods of bridge and tunnel construction. Giving specific examples, an analysis of new construction technologies is given. The author concludes that modern infrastructure development projects require not only quality, safety, timely completion, ease of construction, functionality and aesthetics, but also minimal costs. Therefore, such requirements can only be met with the help of engineering innovations, which may include a combination of several traditional methods with some innovative solutions to effectively fulfill the desired characteristics.
