New development opportunities for the Magadan region and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)

The article analyzes fixed assets in the Magadan Oblast and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for the period of 2015 - 2019, identifies the reasons for the level of their wear and tear. The emphasis is placed on the loss of competitiveness of the region and the outflow of able-bodied population. The potential possibility of man-made emergencies is taken into account. New opportunities for economic development of these regions of the Russian Federation are given: the creation of special economic zones on their territories.
