New challenges for the new economy

The article is devoted to the consideration of the factors that determine the innovative activity of the modern economy and its ability to ensure high competitiveness in the world. The author notes that in the conditions of increasing competition, accelerated development of scientific and technological progress, shortening of the product life cycle, the ability to create a new product, modernize production and organizational processes are the most important conditions for effective economic development. The noted processes of robotization of production, the replacement of routine work by artificial intelligence lead to the need to develop new competencies and skills of the workforce. The key threats to the economic security of Russia, the processes of development of the innovation infrastructure in the country are identified. The conditions are also identified, the implementation of which can provide great opportunities for the development of the Russian economy.
