The new sunflower hybrid UVS 88

A new promising hybrid UVS 8 was developed at the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Organization “Federal Center of Agriculture Research of the South-East Region”. The vegetative period is 89-93 days. Over the years of research in competitive variety trials, the new hybrid surpassed the standard UVS 3 in yield by 0.66 t/ha and in oil yield by 0.3 t/ha. The hybrid UVS 8 was included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements in 2023 and approved for production in the Low Volga region.
