A new approach to correctional insufficiency correction in elderly patients with myocardial infarction

It is known that heart failure in the acute period of myocardial infarction increases the risk of hospital mortality 3-4 times and by 55% in the first 30 days after acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Prevention and correction of clinical manifestations of heart failure in this group of patients is mandatory, life-saving, the use of drugs for this purpose can significantly reduce the early and long-term mortality from myocardial infarction. The selection of drug therapy in patients of a vulnerable group - elderly and senile age - is especially relevant. The clinical case presented in the article is an example of real clinical practice, when available drug therapy that improves the prognosis of elderly patients with ACS is not always used by practitioners.
