New very early maturing sunflower variety Kremen

Kremen is a new very early maturing sunflower variety of oil type. It was developed in the laboratory of Sunflower variety breeding of V.S. Pustovoit All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops in 2015-2021 as a result of multiple individual selection from the best families of a variety-population SUR by productivity, morphotype, tolerance to broomrape races (A-F), high field resistance to dry rot, and tolerance to phomopsis. The new variety is differed from the standard variety VNIIMK 100 with its increased productivity (seed yield - by 14%, oil yield - by 16%) and improved morphometric traits. The period from seedling appearance to physiological maturity of 81 days is equal to the same of the standard variety. The plant height of the new variety is 145-155 cm. The weight of 1000 seeds is within 55 g at the plant population of 40 thousand seeds per ha.
