New variety of oil flax Uralsky

The flax variety Uralsky (a breeding line 3850) is developed with a method of individual selection of an elite plant from a collection sample k-5619 with subsequent self-pollination. The originators of the variety are All-Russian Research Institute of Flax and Ural Research Institute of Agriculture. It is included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation since 2017 for the Volga-Vyatka, Middle Volga and East Siberian regions. The new variety is characterized by early maturing, high oil content (over 45%), resistance to lodging and the main fungal diseases.
