The new middle maturing soybean cultivar Zara

Middle maturing soybean cultivar Zara was developed by individual selection from a hybrid population (Armavir 15 х Kirovograd) х (Vabah х Volna). It was developed in the laboratory of soybean breeding of Armavir Experimental Station, a branch of the “Federal Scinetific Center “V.S. Pustovoit AllRussian Research Institute of Oil Crops”. According to the results of varietal testing in 2015-2017, yield of new soybean cultivar Zara significantly exceeded the yield of the middle maturing standard cultivar Vilana and early maturing cultivar Duar. The new cultivar Zara is characterized with a high drought resistance, resistance to lodging and beans dehiscence.
