Reconceptualization of bachelor’s program in linguistics: taking on the challenges

The prerequisites and practice of developing the educational program of the bachelor’s degree “Linguistic support of business communications” are considered. The necessity and possibility of designing and introducing an educational program into the educational process, which takes into account the development of linguistic science, pedagogy of higher education, and applied aspects of linguistic education, is shown. The content of the curriculum is presented, the development of which is based on the new mission of the educational program, the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education and the positioning of the university. The logic of the curriculum is explained, didactic clusters are described. It is shown that system challenges for educational programs in linguistics require the use of special approaches in their development: interdisciplinarity, a critical approach in establishing professional competencies, understanding of new requirements for the profession of a linguist, new pedagogical design. The conclusion is made about the prospects of the educational program, its uniqueness and great potential as a “growth point” of the university.
