Concerning digital network aspects of the militarization of Russian social and political sphere

The paper discusses the problems of digital transformation of the Russian society amid the global conflict in which our country is currently involved. It explores a number of phenomena that manifest themselves in the context of militarization of public consciousness and affairs, which testify to the existence in Russia of specific social and political features common to the postmodern culture. These include, among other factors the spread of values and behavioral patterns of the post-heroic cultural and social model, the progressive gamification of commemorative practices, the activation of nomadic activity forms as the basis for individual life strategies. The authors raise the question on the need to comprehend the essence of the Russian society in the modern technical, social and geopolitical context and determine its place in the global socio-cultural landscape in order to make necessary adjustments to the national development goals and priorities.
