On the Activities of the Gorky Branch of the USSR Writers’ Union in the 1950s

This article is devoted to significant aspects of the functioning of the Gorky branch of the Writers' Union of the USSR in the 1950s. The authors reveal the features of the assistance of members of the Writers' Union of the USSR to aspiring writers. The article indicates Gorky writers and poets of the middle of the last century who actively participated in the work of the branch and in helping aspiring authors. In addition, the authors outline important features of the development of culture in the USSR as a whole.
