Diagnostics of meta-subject competences of first-year higher school students

The article deals with the readiness of students to study in a higher school. An important component of the readiness is the maturity of meta-subject competencies, which are considered as a result of general education, as special skills ensuring students’ readiness to pass to the next stage of education. The authors suggest using the diagnostics of meta-subject competences based on the competence approach, and argue that such diagnostics should become an integral part of the higher school education.
