Being the full participants in various fields of modern Russian society, legal entities are necessarily engaged in criminal proceedings. The research provides a comprehensive analysis of the legal regulation of the possible involvement of legal entities in this process. The author identifies that legal entities are involved in criminal proceedings in the following situations: as a victim and a civil plaintiff if it is necessary to protect their rights and legitimate interests violated by the crime; as a legal representative of minors or incapacitated suspects, accused or victims if it is necessary to protect the rights and legitimate interests of other persons; in order to assist in achieving the objectives of criminal proceedings by the bodies engaged in it.
