Concerning development of inner conviction of a public prosecutor

The paper examines the essence of public prosecutor’s inner conviction and the stages of its generation. The author analyses the value of inner conviction both for the support of public prosecution and for the decision to drop the charges in court. The paper discusses the specifics of formation of public prosecutor’s inner conviction supporting the charges in the trial on a criminal case, and the challenges faced in this context. Special attention is paid to the necessity to provide unbiased certainty regarding guilt or innocence of a suspect in commission of a crime.
