Situational variability of expressions in different registers of communication

The article is devoted to the question of situational variability in different registers of communication. There are three registers of communication: non-official, official and neutral. Specific features of realization of imperative meaning which depends on the register and speech situation are evident on the basis of analysis of the examples taken from modern English situations of communication. The main intention of communicant is the achievement of the necessary result, imperative strategy is one of the dominant. The statement that communication takes part in various situations and its specific set of language units and registers is proved.
