About complex action by aluminium and iron ions on barley and wheat seedlings

The authors investigated the individual and the complex action of aluminium chloride and iron chloride on barley and wheat seedlings in water solutions. The phyto- and genotoxic action of aluminium chloride on barley seedlings were estimated. It was shown, that phytotoxic action of Al3+ is reducing in the presence of Fe3+. The mechanism of antagonistic effect during the complex action of aluminium and iron ions is discussed.
