About finite element modeling the process of plate drilling

The discrete model of dynamic contact of a body and drill with use of software packet, connected with finite elements method is studied. Examples of modeling and results of the calculations executed with use of multiprocessor server are given. Some features of finite element modeling the process of drilling are connected with arising destruction of plate material near part of plate border, caused by short-term considerable increases there the level of stress intensity. It is established that borders of material destruction arising near part gradually extend on considerable part of a plate. Such microdefects in given examples are modeled by irregularly located finite elements, when passing which acting corners by cutting edges of a drill there are considerable jumps of tension.
