On simulation of atmospheric acoustic channel for some nuclear tests at the former soviet test site of semipalatinsk

This paper presents data on recording of infrasound from distant nuclear explosions, set off in the former soviet test site of Semipalatinsk. The data were obtained at infrasonic station Badary of the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics SB RAS in the Tunkinsky region in the Buryat Republic. We assess the state of the atmospheric acoustic channel (AAC) along the propagation path. Results of the AAC simulation are compared with experimental findings.
