On the present problems of disclosure and investigation of crimes

The article takes a brief analysis of pressing problems that hamper the disclosure and investigation of serious crimes committed in the country: qualitative changes in Russian crime, which are gradually becoming more organized and transnational; low professional level of investigators; instability of the current legislation; further computerization of all spheres of life of Russian society, penetration of the Internet to the most remote corners of the country and related new information technologies used for illegal purposes; very widespread use of mobile telephony, etc. Some suggestions have been made to resolve these problems.
