On some aspects of the definition of "identity"

The Article is devoted to the problem of definition of the category "identity". The author identifies two main groups of the definition of this term, and also considers the question of dynamism or static nature of the original basis of identity. In addition, the question of the relationship of the phenomenon under study with social relations and the relationship with the terms of self-determination and self-consciousness is touched upon.
