Some of the aspects of modern food policy

When establishing a gap in retail prices for food products up to 1990, the coefficient of funds was taken into account, which at that time was 3-4 times. Currently, the gap in retail prices in the stores of economy class and premium for the same type of products is 1.5-2 times and does not take into account the income gap of 16 times. Under the current system of prices, the high-income group of the population wins, which acquires high-quality food at sharply lower prices compared to the income received. By channeling funds to maintain and increase agricultural production, the state in the chain: agriculture - processing industry - retail trade actually subsidizes the rich population. It is necessary to change the system of providing the poor with food products. Differentiation of prices for alcoholic beverages takes into account the coefficient of funds. However, the applied specific excise duty on vodka increases the share of excise duty in the "cheap" and therefore the growth of vodka is due to the population with low incomes. The balance of foreign trade for 2014-2015 showed that such a high-income industry as alcohol had a negative balance in US dollars in the export and import of alcohol.
