About some economic aspects of natural resource extraction

The article notes that the exploitation of natural resources is associated with three aspects of sustainability: social justice, environmental hygiene and economic development. Sustainable exploitation of natural resources seeks a balance between these aspects: maintaining long-term exploitation of resources with maximum social benefit and minimizing environmental impact. Governance structures should recognize and support pre-existing sustainable practices at the local and regional levels and promote more sustainable ways of using and managing resources.
