The case study is actively used by foreign language teachers in teaching process. The method helps to make the educational process closer to reality, thus motivating the students. The case study may be applied not only as the teaching method, but also as a means of assessment. It is reasonable to use the case study at the advanced stages of learning, when students have the necessary level of both language and cognitive, research competences.
