On some directions for the development of higher education system in Russia

Education holds a unique position among spheres of life of a child, which determines his/her destiny to a great degree, provides his/her achievement of personhood and predetermines the choice of his/her career, etc. Half of a child's daily activity is dedicated to education. Pedagogic component embedded in education appears to be a condition for preventive measures against deviant behavior of the under-aged. Further improvement of the system of higher education, which should imply its quality increase and strengthening of its creative, scientific and pedagogical components, is of a very great importance. On the basis of the conducted analysis, it is possible to make a conclusion, that the main orienting points of improving quality of higher education in Russia should be: combination of fundamentality of knowledge and applicative skills of a focused specialization; integration of education and science; pedagogical filling of the triune (education, science, practice) vector of development of an educational process; development of interuniversity cooperation not only within the Russian Federation, but also with foreign educational organizations; active engagement of students into volunteer, creative, patriotic, etc. activities, which let young people to increase the level of their self-realization.
