About some problematic issues of complex expertise in criminal proceedings

The article is devoted to the most important Institute of criminal procedure - the Institute of complex expertise. The paper analyzes some problematic aspects of this type of expertise. The question of the ratio of complex and Commission expertise is considered, their distinctive features are highlighted, and articles of criminal procedure legislation devoted to the examinations under consideration are considered. The article analyzes the issue of the possibility of conducting a comprehensive examination alone, provided that the expert has sufficient knowledge from various fields of science. Explosion-technical and fire-technical expertise is used as an example of a single comprehensive examination. The article sets out the issues to be resolved by experts in the production of these types of expertise and the areas of knowledge necessary for their resolution. Summarizing the results of the work done, we suggest ways to solve the considered problematic issues related to the Institute of integrated expertise.
