On some reforms in the organization and activities of public authorities of the federal subjects of Russia over the past years (the case of the Republic of Buryatia)

The article is devoted to reforming the organization and activities of public authorities of the Republic of Buryatia in the context of changes in federal legislation. We present a historical analysis of the development of a modern model of the organization of public authorities in Buryatia, consider the conditions of the republican Constitution adoption. The article traces the stages of making amendments to the Basic Law of the Republic of Buryatia, which led to the significant transformations in the procedure of developing and functioning of the top public authorities of the republic. We pay special attention to the close relationship between the provisions of federal legislation on the organization of public power in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the constitutional legislation of the Republic of Buryatia. The article expresses our stance on the most relevant directions for the further reforming the organization and activities of public authorities of the Republic of Buryatia.
