The current conception of criminal liability in respect of persons having a mental disorder not precluding sanity, does not take into account their individual characteristics when imposing and executing the punishment. The persons suffering from a mental disorder not precluding sanity are imposed with the same penalties that are applied to mentally sane individuals. Also, the places of imprisonment are identical, which in the author's opinion, is inappropriate. Standard corrective treatment of "partially sane persons" in the current prison system is ineffective. It is necessary to reconsider the approach to the execution of criminal liability of the mentioned category of people.
Mental disorders not excluding sanity, legal status, imprisonment, corrective influence, prison system, compulsory medical measures, convicts, psychiatry, punishment, limitations
