On the need to expand the rights of jurors in criminal proceedings of the Russian Federation

In the article, the authors identified the problems of legislative regulation of the expansion of the rights of jurors during the trial. The jurors are deprived of many rights, such as obtaining a copy of the indictment, keeping records during the trial through the use of sound recording equipment, directly asking questions to the interrogated persons, a comprehensive study of the defendant's personality. The practice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the criminal law on the topic being studied is analyzed. The analysis of the main views that have developed in the criminal process on this issue. Suggestions were made to improve the criminal procedure legislation with a view to a fair, comprehensive and full trial in jury.
