About a new found of Artemisia nitrosa Web ex Stechm. - a rare species in the flora of Transbaikalia

In the landscapes of the intermountain hollows of Transbaikalia, one of the most ancient are vegetation of saline habitats on lake and river terraces. The article presents original data on the ecology and phytocenology of the new boundary Transbaikalian population of the Central Asian xero-galophyte species of sagebrush - A. nitrosa. In Transbaikalia this is the second location of the species, along with the new Ivolga population, earlier this species was known from the Tugnui valley in the vicinity of lake Tsagan-Nur. The species is noted in the composition of the saw-wort-nitre bush-sagebrush steppe saline-meadow community in the Ivolga valley of the Selenga middle mountains. The idea of relictness of the revealed population of Artemisia nitrosa since an era of Pliocene desert-steppe landscapes of Transbaikalia is expressed in the work.
