This article is devoted to the first juvenile courts in the United States. The issue of juvenile courts is the challenge which now faces the justice. Specialized juvenile justice meets Russia's national interests and also serves as a necessity of execution of our State obligations under international law, in particular, for the execution of the UN Convention «On the rights of a child». The study of foreign experience of juvenile courts is a special theoretical interest. This experience, quite ambiguous, cannot serve as a model for blind copying.
