The article confirms the usability of the conceptual and terminological system of lexical semantics in application to semantics of an elementary simple sentence as a basic syntactic unit. The article describes the direct and figurative meanings of elementary simple sentences, as well as systematic relations on the syntactic level of language: polysemy, synonymy, antonymy, homonymy of syntactic units.
