On the concept of law enforcement and its main directions in the conditions Eurasian Economic Union

The article deals with different points of view of scientists (V.P. Bozhev, K.F. Gutsenko, S.L. LON, etc.) regarding the term “law enforcement” and its content. Subject to article 354 of the Customs code of the Eurasian economic Union, the author concludes that law enforcement is the activity of state bodies aimed at protecting the rights and legitimate interests of individuals, society and the state, and carried out in accordance with the law by bodies of inquiry and (or) investigation in cases of crimes, investigative agencies and bodies conducting the proceedings on cases of administrative offences. Therefore, the main directions of law enforcement activities include: 1) proceedings in cases of administrative offenses; 2) proceedings in criminal cases; 3) operational investigative activities.
