Application of the distance education format for studying graphic disciplines

The article discusses the issues raised by the forced transition to distance learning in higher education in connection with the measures taken to limit the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is noted that despite the active development at the Bauman University various forms of distance learning, the transition to full distance learning revealed many problems of both organizational, technical and psychological nature. The authors of the article, based on the analysis of the current situation, believe that at the present stage, high-quality education of engineering specialties is achievable only on the basis of a combination of various forms of education with obligatory full-time attendance of students.
