On the use of projective methods in drawing up a psychological and forensic portrait of an unknown criminal

The article deals with the issue of projective psychology methods applying for interpretation of signs from locations of violent crimes as sources of information about criminal activity motives with the purpose of following drawing up (specification) of a search psychological and forensic portrait of an unknown criminal. The author gives ground to the idea that psychognosis project methods largely allow, in comparison with other methods, to reflect the unique individuality of a criminal's personality as they analyze not peculiar features but the whole personality and aimed at revelation its hidden, latent or unconscious sides.
