High efficiency of humic acids in the treatment of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the locomotor system using a method of transdermal electropharmstimulation was proved. The study objective is to examine and standardize such pharmacological drugs as humates, as well as techniques for their production and clinical application. Zinc, copper (II), and cadmium humates were obtained as a part of the study. Quantitive content of metals in their structure was determined for the first time. The analysis of IR-spectrum of humates with various metal content allowed to attribute some vivid bands to 1720-1710 sm-1 regions of absorbance. Direct proportionality of maximum intensity with frequencies of 1720 and 1615 sm-1 from the quantity of metal in humate structure was detected. The sequence of metals interaction with functional groups of humic acids was defined. Carboxyl groups were the most active to metal ions. After their complete binding there came interaction of metallic ions with hydroxyl groups of humic acids.
