The article analyzes scientific relevance and philosophical and methodological possibilities of the historical reconstruction of the organic interpretation of history as a holistic tradition in Russian thought of the 19th and 20th centuries. The author focuses on the issues that any researcher, reconstructing specifics of organicists’ method and style of thinking, may face and reflects on the most adequate and methodologically effective position that this researcher could take in this context.
