To the problem of the forest ecosystems preservation in the urban environment: example of the state protected area «Forest park Konakovsky»

Possibility of saving the forest ecosystems is demonstrated on the example of the state protected area "The Forest Park Konakovsky" (Tver region, Konakovo district). There were 613 species of vascular plants, 152 species of mosses, 41 species of liverworts and 108 species of lichens recorded for the area. 46 species are indicators of biologically valuable forest communities, 15 species are included in the Red Data Book of the Tver region. The forest communities have a high level of preservatuion of typical structure and composition. The area has a great aesthetic and therapeutic value. The forest park had a good potentional for the nature protection, recreation and ecological education. An unrban forest area is a good model of the protected natural areas. We suggest to run the optimal regime of the area exploitation coupled with monitoring studies.
