On the professional and personal reflection of a student in pedagogy classes at the university

The problem of forming professional and personal reflection of students at a pedagogical university is investigated. This reality is interpreted as a complex, fundamentally metaphysical process of formation in the individual’s psyche (his picture of the world) of meanings and intentions that are median for the profession of a teacher. Insufficient attention to reflection as a psycho-metaphysical given is stated, which negatively affects the development of its content and, accordingly, its use in the educational process. Reflection on future professional activity in the context of the work being presented includes the stages of a person meeting himself (as a future teacher), knowing himself (as a future teacher), returning to himself and being with himself (as a future teacher). The necessity of organizing educational material in accordance with the structure of human thinking (ontology, anthropology, axiology, epistemology, psychology of thought; the search for truth as everything and everyone ) is stated. As the main didactic unit in pedagogy classes at a higher educational institution, the classical (philosophical, etc.) text is seen as an education that absorbs the completeness and integrity of being and knowledge. The classical text is interpreted as something capable of asking a person and answering him. The interaction between the teacher and students in the classroom is organized on a personal-metaphysical basis (the discovery of one metaphysical spirituality by another; turning to Socratic dialogue; retaining the unformalizable). The most important role in the implementation of this is given to the activities of the teacher, who has a number of special features (the grand scale of the personality, etc.).
